New landscapes and cities for the Al Ándalus Train in 2026

10 September, 2025

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Al Ándalus Train will inaugurate a new stage in 2026 with the incorporation of destinations in the centre and southwest of the peninsula. For the first time, Madrid will be the departure or arrival point of this luxury railway experience, which until now has focused exclusively on Andalusian itineraries. The new proposal maintains its format of 7 days and 6 nights, extending its scope to three new autonomous communities.

The tour will combine heritage, gastronomy and landscape with a journey that will include stops in Madrid, Aranjuez, Toledo, Cáceres, Mérida, Córdoba, Jerez, Cádiz and Seville. This expansion not only diversifies the traveller profile, but also reinforces the positioning of Al Ándalus as a model for sustainable and exclusive rail tourism. The incorporation of new regions allows tourists to discover the territory from a different perspective, in an environment crafted with a strong attention to detail and comfort.

The train is part of Renfe's catalogue of Luxury Tourist Trains. Their restored historic cars offer Deluxe Suites or Grand Class Room accommodations, and include a tour support bus, sightseeing tickets and a complete on-board experience. With this new itinerary, the Al Ándalus opens the door to new landscapes without losing its essence.
