Madrid, Barcelona and Seville enter the European top for brewers
8 October, 2025Beer tourism is gaining ground in Europe, with Spain placing three cities in the top 10 favourite destinations for beer lovers, according to an analysis by Riviera Travel based on data from Tripadvisor and Numbeo.
Madrid tops the European ranking with 23 breweries, 305 pubs and bars and an average price of €3.40 per pint. The capital is consolidating its position as a benchmark destination thanks to its growing craft scene and a nightlife that extends the experience beyond the tasting.
In fifth place in the ranking is Barcelona, with seven breweries and 290 pubs and an average price of €3.39. Its offer combines Mediterranean tradition with brewing innovation in a cosmopolitan urban setting.
Seville is also in the top 10, with six breweries and 127 pubs, offering the lowest prices on the list: €1.93 per pint.
Although Spain is internationally renowned for its wine tradition, this study confirms that the three cities are consolidating their own space on the European beer tourism map.
