Thyssen Museum opens its doors at night with Uber’s support
22 October, 2025The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and Uber have joined forces to launch “Thyssen Nights with Uber”, an initiative that will allow visitors to visit the museum on Saturday nights between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. with free access to temporary exhibitions and part of the permanent collection. The proposal aims to bring art to new audiences and offer a cultural alternative within Madrid’s nightlife.
The project has Uber as an official sponsor, reinforcing the museum’s aim to rejuvenate its audiences. According to its managing director, Evelio Acevedo, the initiative attracts mainly visitors aged between 18 and 35, interested in different cultural experiences and in enjoying the museum in a more relaxed atmosphere.
On special occasions, such as the openings of temporary exhibitions, special activations will be held with musical performances or gastro experiences, broadening the appeal of these cultural evenings.
Uber Eats is also adding the official Thyssen shop to its platform with a selection of products inspired by the museum’s works. These include designer items such as plates, mugs, aprons and bags based on artists such as Kandinsky, Lacroix, Juan Gris, Marsh and Mondrian, bringing a fragment of the Thyssen’s art directly into people's homes.
