Spanish hotels, the most profitable in Europe
The average price per night reaches €170 and revenue per room grows by 6.3% 5 November, 2025Spanish hotels have closed the first nine months of 2025 with record results, far beyond their European competitors in profitability. According to the STR and Cushman & Wakefield Hotel Sector Barometer, Spain leads growth in average daily rate (ADR) and revenue per available room (RevPAR), up by 5.5% and 6.3%, respectively.
The average price per night reaches €170, compared with €161 last year, driven by destinations such as Marbella, the Balearic Islands and Zaragoza, where rises exceed 9%. Moreover, average national occupancy remains at record levels, with 76.4% of rooms filled up to September.
With these results, Spain cements its status as the most profitable hotel market in Europe, well above the average growth of 1.9% on the continent. Analysts highlight that the strength of demand and the reduction of seasonality, especially in destinations such as Malaga or Alicante, have made it possible to maintain high occupancy levels throughout the year.
