New direct train between Barcelona and Seville from 14 December

Ouigo will connect the two cities with stops in Zaragoza, Madrid and Córdoba at competitive prices 5 November, 2025

Travelling between Barcelona and Seville will be easier from 14 December, when the rail company Ouigo inaugurates its new direct route between the two cities. The service will have a daily round-trip frequency and will make stops in Zaragoza, Madrid and Córdoba, offering a fast and affordable alternative for those who wish to travel around Spain by train.

With this connection, Ouigo expands its network and now has six daily frequencies between Barcelona and Madrid and five between Seville and Madrid, strengthening connectivity between the north-east, centre and south of the country.

As highlighted by the managing director of Ouigo España, Hélène Valenzuela, rail liberalisation has allowed prices to fall by 44% since 2019, doubling the number of passengers on high-speed corridors.

The new line makes it possible to combine urban and cultural tourism between destinations such as Madrid, Córdoba or Seville and facilitates weekend trips or getaways between the Mediterranean and Andalusia.
