Senda Azul: the Costa del Sol experienced from the sea

Malaga is promoting sustainable tourism that brings together nature, marine culture and nautical experiences for everyone 5 November, 2025

The Costa del Sol invites you to discover a new way to enjoy the Mediterranean with Senda Azul, a project driven by the Provincial Council of Malaga that combines nature, sustainability and marine culture. Along 160 kilometres of coastline, this network offers over 190 experiences to experience the sea from within: kayak trips, dives, sailing, gastronomic routes or whale and dolphin watching excursions.

Senda Azul is structured around three axes: nautical, experiential and heritage, integrating marinas, activity schools and cultural spaces that bring the sea closer to everyone. The Nautical Bases and Blue Points with augmented reality make it possible to enjoy accessible activities and learn about the secrets of the marine ecosystem in an innovative way.

The project also pays tribute to the fishing tradition and local gastronomy, with initiatives such as introductory jábega rowing or the wine tourism proposal “Málaga, la mar de vinos”.

Between tradition and modernity, Senda Azul turns the sea into a place for learning, leisure and emotion with Malaga as a leading destination for blue tourism in the Mediterranean.
