Palma airport is entering the final stage of its works
19 November, 2025The renovation works of Palma de Mallorca airport are entering their final stage. With over 70% of the works done, Aena expects to conclude the project by late 2026, advancing part of the investment initially planned for 2027. The last phase will focus on the check-in area, where visible works for passengers will be carried out during the winter.
Among the main improvements, the creation of a new vertical communication core with stairs and lifts that will connect the three floors stands out, the comprehensive renovation of airline and handling company offices and the incorporation of new check-in counters. Outdoors, a covered walkway will be built between the car park and the terminal to streamline arrival flows.
Likewise, module D will remain temporarily closed to renovate its roof and lighting, while modules A and D will incorporate boarding gates with jet bridges. In parallel, progress is being made on the new terrace “solarium”, which will offer rest areas, leisure and cafes. With a global investment of € 560 million, the airport is facing its definitive modernisation to offer a more agile, comfortable and sustainable experience.
