Galician nature becomes an emblem of resilience
19 November, 2025Tourism of Galicia launches a campaign that reinforces its image as a sustainable and authentic destination following the summer fires. The initiative emphasises quality as its hallmark and tours the most iconic landscapes of the community, from the mountains of Lugo to the Atlantic coast.
Among the chosen scenarios, the Ribeira Sacra stands out, where Romanesque monasteries and impossible-slope vineyards reflect the strength of Galician nature. Also the Sierra de O Courel and the Bosque dos Grobos in Lugo, green temples that symbolise biodiversity and active tourism. On the coast, Cabo Silleiro shows touristic reinvention by the sea: the Pequeño lighthouse now houses an Atlantic tavern, while the Silleiro lighthouse remains operational, also converted into a hotel.
The campaign is supported by consolidated tourist products that boost rural getaways and help de-seasonalise demand, such as the Route of the Tourist Trains, with itineraries like the Ruta dos Pazos or the Ruta da Camelia, which tour gardens and stately architecture in Galicia. It also includes references to the Camino de Santiago and the cathedral of Mondoñedo, symbols of spirituality, art and heritage.
Galicia reaffirms itself as a destination that combines tradition, sustainability and quality experiences throughout the year, projecting an image of a resilient territory that turns authenticity into its greatest tourist value.
