Spanish airports surpass 276M passengers up to October
3 December, 2025Aena’s airports in Spain closed October with almost 29.5 million passengers, 4.4% more than in the same month of 2024, and handled 245,495 operations, an increase of 6%. Between January and October traffic rose to 276.6 million travellers, 3.9% more than a year earlier, and 2.3 million operations (+4.4%), maintaining the network’s growth trajectory.
Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport remains in the lead, exceeding six million passengers in October (+6.3%), followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat, with 5.24 million (+5.6%). Palma de Mallorca reached 3.5 million travellers (+0.3%), Malaga–Costa del Sol 2.57 million (+6.1%) and Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández 1.9 million (+5.9%). Gran Canaria (1.32 million, +1.8%), Tenerife South (1.16 million, +1%) and Valencia (1.09 million, +8.1%) also stand out.
October has been the best in history for the network and for 21 infrastructures, including Madrid–Barajas, Barcelona–El Prat, Palma, Malaga, Alicante, Gran Canaria, Seville, Valencia and the Ceuta Heliport. In terms of movements, Madrid led with 38,108 flights (+7.7%), followed by Barcelona (32,802, +4.1%).
