Vueling schedules over 3 million seats for Christmas travel
17 December, 2025Vueling has scheduled over 3 million seats with origin or destination in Spain for the Christmas period, from 15 December to 15 January. This offer is part of its winter 2025 schedule, which reaches 15 million seats, an increase of over 400,000 compared with the previous winter. The company has focused on strengthening its domestic network and the main corridors between mainland Spain and the archipelagos.
In this context, connections with the Canary Islands are gaining prominence thanks to a 6% increase in capacity, exceeding 2 million seats. The Balearic Islands are also registering 5% growth, reaching 765,000 seats during the season. Barcelona, the airline’s main base, is adding more than 10 million seats in winter, making up Vueling’s largest deployment at El Prat. From this airport, the company is increasing its capacity to the Canary Islands by around 6% and expanding its international connectivity.
El Prat will have 10% more seats to France, with particular emphasis on the Barcelona–Paris Orly route, which will reach 50 weekly frequencies. Likewise, Vueling is strengthening connections with Belgium, Portugal and North Africa, adding new routes to Ljubljana, Agadir and Strasbourg, and extending operations such as Essaouira, Tirana and Córdoba, as well as restoring the connection with Valladolid.
