Four hotels will set the new course for Calvià in 2026

14 January, 2026

Calvià is moving decisively forward in repositioning its tourism model and is setting 2026 as a key year to consolidate a more diverse offer with greater added value. The municipality in the southwest of Mallorca is reinforcing its strategy beyond sun and beach, opting for proposals linked to luxury, adults-only tourism, families and new types of travellers. This momentum is supported by a combination of public and private investment, with significant urban developments and the arrival of new hotel brands.

The flagship project will be the opening of Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, set to become one of the leading luxury references on the island. The full transformation of the historic Hotel Punta Negra will give rise to the brand’s first European resort, a five-star grand luxury establishment that will boost the destination’s international appeal and its positioning in the premium segment.

  • Caramelo Calvià Beach (Globales): adults-only hotel with 211 rooms, opening in summer 2026.
  • Cabau Aquasol: reopening as a 4-star family hotel after a complete renovation.
  • Tangerine by Honne Hotels: 3-star superior adults-only hotel aimed at long stays and digital nomads.
