Hilton debuts in San Sebastián with a boutique hotel in a historic palace
11 February, 2026Hilton will strengthen its presence in Spain with the opening of Palacio Bellas Artes San Sebastián, Curio Collection by Hilton, which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The project will mark the chain’s debut in the capital of Gipuzkoa, with a boutique proposal located in one of the city’s most iconic buildings.
The hotel will be housed in the historic Palacio Bellas Artes, a former theatre and cinema built in 1914, which for decades was a cultural landmark and is now beginning a new chapter linked to high value‑added hospitality. The refurbishment of the building has been conceived as a heritage recovery project, respecting original architectural elements and adapting them to the values of Curio Collection by Hilton.
The Palacio Bellas Artes San Sebastián hotel, Curio Collection by Hilto will have 81 rooms, a restaurant, lobby bar and gym. The gastronomic offer will be managed by Grupo IXO, with a concept designed by Andoni Luis Aduriz, linked to the building’s scenic and cultural identity
The establishment is located right in the city centre, a few minutes from La Concha beach, the old town and the main cultural landmarks, reinforcing its vocation as an urban and experiential hotel.
