Jet2 adds 380,000 seats to Spain for the summer

11 February, 2026

Jet2.com is clearly strengthening its commitment to the Spanish market for summer 2026, with the scheduling of 380,000 new seats between April and October from the UK. The British airline plans to carry more than 4.6 million travellers to Spanish destinations in that period, representing 9% growth compared with the previous summer and consolidating the strong demand from the British market for Spain.

The increase in capacity will be concentrated especially at traditionally less busy airports, where Jet2 will accelerate its expansion. Particularly noteworthy are the projected increases in Girona, Reus, Almería, Jerez and La Palma, a destination that will be added for the first time to the airline’s network from 3 April 2026, with connections from Manchester and London‑Stansted. In Jerez, the company will double capacity compared with 2025, while Girona will see a 35% increase in inbound seats.

In total, Jet2.com will operate 161 routes from the United Kingdom to Spain, 16 more than last summer, with 17 exclusive routes and a peak of more than 840 weekly flights in high season. Mallorca airport will have the highest volume, with almost 900,000 scheduled seats, followed by Tenerife and Alicante‑Elche, reinforcing Spain’s role as a key market in its summer strategy.
