Hotels VIVA renovates Eden Lago to boost family and sports segment for 2026
15 April, 2026Hotels VIVA is entering the 2026 season with a focus on product upgrades, brand positioning and growth in high-demand segments in the north of Mallorca. Key developments include the full refurbishment of VIVA Eden Lago, the rollout of the Selection Club across the portfolio, and a reinforced focus on family and sports tourism.
The group continues to target family travel through enhanced water-based facilities, while maintaining its positioning in sports tourism and shoulder-season demand. VIVA Blue & Spa will again operate as the official hotel for the Mallorca 312 cycling event. The strategy is supported by ongoing off-season refurbishments and an operational framework centred on sustainability, efficiency and circularity.
The VIVA Eden Lago (Puerto de Alcudia) reopens following a major refurbishment aimed at upgrading facilities and aligning the hotel with evolving guest expectations. The repositioning focuses on three areas: family-friendly infrastructure, adult relaxation spaces and a balanced mix of leisure, sport and F&B
Expanded family and leisure facilities
The refurbishment places strong emphasis on outdoor areas, with new features including a children-focused pool with an inflatable “web bubble”, a Splash Pool Area and a new outdoor heated pool designed to extend the usable season.
Additional upgrades include a panoramic solarium with Balinese beds overlooking the lake, an outdoor jacuzzi and an expanded terrace.
The concept combines family-oriented entertainment with quieter areas for adults
New facilities also include a Sports Bar and an upgraded gym, supporting demand from guests combining leisure with activity and social experiences.
Selection Club rollout completed
Eden Lago will also offer the Selection Club concept, now implemented across the group’s portfolio. The service includes upgraded rooms, certified organic amenities, premium bedding and pillows, and 24-hour concierge.
The rollout forms part of Hotels VIVA’s strategy to increase perceived value through product improvements while maintaining its core family holiday positioning
Focus on sports tourism
On 25 April, Mallorca hosts the Mallorca 312, one of Europe’s leading amateur cycling events. VIVA Blue & Spa (Playa de Muro) will serve as the official hotel, offering cyclist-focused services including a professional Bike Station, recovery areas and specialised staff.
Beyond the event, Hotels VIVA continues to support sports-led demand outside peak season, hosting training camps and events in Mallorca, a key destination for cycling and active tourism.
Operational sustainability focus
Alongside refurbishment plans, the group is implementing operational sustainability measures across its hotels, including energy efficiency, water management, waste reduction and circularity initiatives.
These actions focus on monitoring consumption and improving resource efficiency, in line with the requirements of operating in an island destination such as Mallorca.
