Dinolandia: a new theme park near Madrid
13 May, 2026Just 75 kilometres from Madrid, dinosaurs have come back to life in the heart of the Sierra Oeste. Dinolandia, the new theme park inaugurated on 2 April in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, offers an outdoor family experience with robotised creatures up to twelve metres long that move, roar and surprise us among gardens, streams, waterfalls and rest areas.
The new area is integrated into the El Bosque Encantado Botanical Garden, creating a combined visit of more than 50,000 m2: two parks in one to stroll around unhurriedly for three or four hours, although with no time limit on the stay. Along the route, dozens of animatronic dinosaurs, many life-size, invite visitors to stop, observe and take photos with them.
Among the main attractions is an impressive Tyrannosaurus Rex more than seven metres high, accompanied by other specimens with sounds and movements regulated to coexist with the natural environment.
The proposal adds a fossil millions of years old, three food and drink areas and, at weekends, a night-time light show. The park recommends buying tickets online to avoid queues.
