ME Málaga strengthens the luxury hotel offer in the city centre
10 June, 2026The new ME Málaga has held its official opening right in the city centre, next to Plaza de la Merced and the Alcazaba, and just a few minutes from the Picasso Museum. The 5-star property has involved an investment of around 44 million euros and strengthens the high-end hotel offer in the capital of Málaga.
The hotel has 128 rooms, over 20 exclusive suites and 12 accommodation categories, with spacious areas, natural materials and a concept linked to art, in tune with Málaga’s cultural profile.
Among its main attractions are the rooftop with infinity pool, solarium and views of the city and the Port of Málaga, as well as a convention centre and a gastronomic offer led by Cañitas Maite, a group recognised with one Michelin star.
The property is conceived as a hotel that is also open to the city, with areas designed for both guests and local residents. ME Málaga, which has created more than 150 jobs, is the company’s fifth hotel in the province, where it plans to add Meliá Marbella in 2027.
