UberBoats lands in Spain with boat hire via the app
10 June, 2026Uber is expanding its tourism services in Spain in June with the launch of UberBoats, a boat hire division integrated into its own application.
The service allows users to book boats through the alliance with Click&Boat, a platform that provides a base of around 50,000 boats available in Mediterranean destinations, including the Balearic Islands. Operations are also starting in Portugal, Italy, France and Croatia.
The move into boat hire reinforces Uber’s strategy to position itself at different stages of the trip, beyond urban transport and home delivery. In Spain the move adds a new layer of tourism services linked to leisure boating and peak-season holiday demand.
Uber One members will receive 10% cashback in credits for each booking made. The company plans to complement this strategy with new travel functions and loyalty agreements in Europe.
