Spanish wine tourism fine-tunes the visitor experience with data
10 June, 2026Rutas del Vino de España has launched a new Wine Tourism Intelligence System that will make it possible to improve destination planning and adapt the offer to the real habits of tourists.
The platform, driven by ACEVIN (Asociación de Ciudades del Vino de España), digitalises the organisation’s Tourism Observatory, active since 2008, and centralises data from over 1,300 establishments, including wineries, wine museums and accommodation. The project has involved an investment of over 300,000 euros financed with Next Generation European funds.
Visitors will thus benefit from experiences that are more tailored to demand, a better-structured offer and destinations with greater capacity to anticipate flows, preferences and consumption needs.
The system integrates eight interactive panels on activity, visitor profile, economic impact, sustainability, online reputation, mobility, web traffic and social media. It also makes it possible to have up-to-date monthly information to make more accurate decisions.
ACEVIN considers that this digitalisation marks a turning point for Spanish wine tourism.
