Seville accelerates its hotel boom with over 2,000 new rooms
8 July, 2026Seville is entering a new phase of hotel growth driven by the boom in international tourism and investor interest in the city. After introducing 2,000 rooms between 2018 and 2025, the Andalusian capital expects to add more than 2,000 new rooms between 2026 and 2027 alone, a pace that exceeds that recorded in the previous seven years.
The destination’s progress is reflected in an especially active pipeline, with 25 new hotels planned over the next four years and 88% of openings concentrated before the end of 2027. The expansion will be led by three‑ and four‑star properties, which account for 95% of the projected supply. Between 2026 and 2028, 1,137 rooms are planned in eleven three‑star hotels and 741 rooms in seven four‑star properties.
The five‑star segment is also gaining ground, although with a smaller impact in terms of room numbers due to the urban characteristics of central Seville where smaller buildings predominate. The new hotel capacity is also supported by growing international demand, which already accounts for 70% of guests, and by an improvement in indicators: since 2019, ADR has risen by nearly 39% and RevPAR by around 35%.
