The Spanish airports best rated by passengers

Bilbao Airport is once again ranked as the best in Spain in the 2026 AirHelp Score, with a score of 8.08 out of 10. The Biscayan facility ranks 21st in the world and is the only Spanish airport among the 25 best rated on the planet, as well as being third in Europe.

The ranking, compiled by AirHelp, analyses 279 airports in 76 countries and measures the real experience of passengers based on punctuality, quality of service and comfort of facilities.

In Spain, second place goes to Seville Airport, which climbs 33 positions to 35th place worldwide. Gran Canaria completes the national podium after rising 52 places to 86th position globally, ahead of Valencia, in 89th place and Adolfo Suárez Madrid‑Barajas, in 92nd.

The report confirms that the airport experience has become a key factor for current tourism competitiveness. Among the ten best Spanish airports feature Fuerteventura, Alicante‑Elche Miguel Hernández, Tenerife Norte‑Ciudad de La Laguna, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona‑El Prat and Málaga‑Costa del Sol.

The ranking confirms that traveller ratings no longer depend solely on connectivity or the size of the airport. Punctuality, competitive services, comfort and operational efficiency are consolidating as decisive factors in strengthening passenger perception and the tourism competitiveness of each destination.
