Spanish beaches most popular with travellers for summer 2026
8 July, 2026Spanish beaches are among travellers’ top favourites for summer 2026. According to the ranking drawn up by Holidu based on thousands of ratings and reviews on Google Maps, Platja de Muro, in Mallorca, tops the national list with 4.8 points and 7,777 comments, consolidating its position as Spain’s best‑rated beach.
The Mallorcan beach stands out with over five kilometres of fine white sand, crystal‑clear, shallow waters and its proximity to the S’Albufera Natural Park, an area of dunes, pine forests and biodiversity. In second place is Playa de Cofete, in Fuerteventura, a wild, remote beach, surrounded by arid mountains and the rough Atlantic, ideal for those seeking disconnection and untouched landscapes. Also in Fuerteventura, Sotavento de Jandía takes third place thanks to its lagoons, turquoise waters and appeal for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
The top five is completed by Playa de Mataleñas, in Santander, a cove between green cliffs and panoramic paths, and the Grandes Playas de Corralejo, in Fuerteventura, where light‑coloured dunes, transparent waters and views of the islet of Lobos and Lanzarote create a natural postcard. The selection confirms the importance of the Balearics, the Canaries and Cantabria.
