A new 5-star hotel arrives on Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia
12 August, 2026Hidden Hotels will open Hotel Club 29 in September, its first property in Barcelona. The new 5-star boutique hotel will occupy an 1897 building at 29 Passeig de Gràcia and will have 65 rooms, a restaurant, cocktail bar, terrace and inner courtyards, strengthening the chain’s presence in Spain.
The hotel concept will revive the elegance and atmosphere of Barcelona in the late 1920s. The rooms, conceived as urban residences, will feature large windows, mosaic floors, stained glass and balconies, while the common areas will evoke private clubs and the homes of Barcelona’s bourgeoisie. Number 29 runs through the entire project: it refers to the building’s location, the former identification of Passeig de Gràcia during the development of the Eixample and the year 1929, a period of intense cultural and urban transformation.
It will be completed with areas also open to visitors, such as the restaurant, cocktail bar, terrace and inner courtyards. Its most exclusive accommodation will be the Presidential Suite, with living areas, two bathrooms, private dining room, terrace and solarium, which can be connected to another room to create the Royal Suite. Here Hidden Hotels will bring to Barcelona its strategy of restoring historic buildings and linking each hotel with the identity of the destination, as it has already done in Madrid and Granada.
