Andalusia to revive its emblematic Easter Week in 2022

30 March, 2022

After two years of cancellations and restrictions, any sign that seems like a return to normality is a good thing. And this is the case for Easter Week, one of the most important festive periods in the Spanish calendar, especially in Andalusia, whose capital Seville celebrates the most emblematic one.

In 2022, Easter Week will be celebrated from Sunday 10 April to Sunday 17 April, although in some communities Monday 18 April is also a public holiday. And you don't have to be Catholic to enjoy the processions and all the weird and wonderful events. You have to experience it to understand it.

This year we expect a recovery of these festivities that will take it to levels close to those reached in 2019. In fact, the Andalusian authorities expect 70% occupancy during the week, while the weekend will reach 95% and even 100%.

To achieve these goals, despite the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, air connectivity with the UK has been strengthened, especially with the airports in Seville and Malaga.
