Four Spanish airlines, among the 100 best in the world
13 August, 2025Four Spanish airlines appear in the 2025 ranking of the 100 best airlines in the world drawn up by Skytrax, the firm specialising in air transport research and rating. Iberia, Vueling, Iberia Express and Volotea form part of this list, which gathers the opinion of passengers of over 100 nationalities.
Iberia, in 20th place, is the best-ranked Spanish airline, although it falls five positions compared to 2024. Vueling, on the other hand, is one of the biggest national performers, climbing from 56th to 42nd place. Iberia Express also improved its position, from 62nd to 53rd, like Volotea, up three places to 45th.
The awards, known as the “Oscars of aviation”, have been presented since 1999 and are based on satisfaction surveys conducted by Skytrax between September 2024 and May 2025. The survey included 325 companies.
Globally, Qatar Airways repeats as the best airline for the ninth time, followed by Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways, which climbs to third place.
