5 ideas to help you make the most of your trip to Ibiza this spring
11 May, 2022Spring is the time of year when things start moving again and the desire to organise plans increases. Ibiza is the perfect place to do just that, so here are five ideas to make the most of a springtime visit to the ‘pitiusa’ island.
- Dalt Vila. One of the most interesting ways of getting to know the historic centre of the city is to go on a dramatised tour of Dalt Vila, which is held every Saturday at sunset.
- Paddle surf at Cala Vadella. This water sport, which has become increasingly popular in recent years, is another great option. You can go on an excursion along the Cala Vadella coast, and it can be experienced either on Stand Up Paddle (SUP) or by doing SUP yoga classes starting from the cove’s natural harbour.
- Can Marçà Cave. Located in a beautiful natural setting in the north of Ibiza, this is an impressive cave that’s more than 100,000 years old and has become one of the island’s major tourist destinations since the 1980s. It has a long history as a pirate refuge.
- Ibiza Medieval Fair. This is one of the island’s most outstanding recreational and cultural events, a true show-stopper of an event that attracts more than 100,000 visitors every May across four days, from the 12th to the 14th of May.
- Enjoying the Ibizan countryside. Flowers begin to bloom in April, so what better time than spring to enjoy the Ibizan countryside as it fills with vibrant colours and blossoms. Full of carob, fig, almond, vine and fruit trees, the island’s countryside offers visitors a peaceful and tranquil side of Ibiza far removed from the hustle and bustle.
