Limehome is growing in Spain, its second market, by converting hotels
27 August, 2025The digital chain “Limehome” is strengthening its presence in Spain with a strategy based on the conversion of traditional hotels and the transformation of underutilised assets. In the first half of 2025, it has accumulated more than 2,200 new units, consolidating its presence in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Benidorm and Burgos, among other key cities. Spain and Portugal are the company’s second strategic market after Germany.
The Limehome model allows up to 70% of the usable area of converted buildings to be used, compared to the 50% usually seen in the sector. This efficiency is achieved by architects, engineers and data scientists working together to redesign spaces with a digital and automated approach.

In addition, 44% of its new projects come from alliances with recurring partners, reflecting the consolidation of relationships with investors and owners who see Limehome as a cost-effective and flexible option when compared with new construction.
Limehome currently manages more than 11,000 units in 150 cities in 13 countries, with an occupancy rate of over 90% in Europe. For the second half of the year, it plans to expand its portfolio with new hotel projects in Spain and Italy, markets with ample supplies of convertible assets.
