59 tourism companies from Gran Canaria stand out for their quality

18 May, 2022

A total of 59 tourism companies on the island of Gran Canaria have been awarded the ‘Commitment to Quality Tourism label’ for their excellent tourism services as part of Turespaña's Integral System of Tourism Quality in Destinations (SICTED) project, promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism.

SICTED is a project set out to improve tourist destinations. The fact that such a large number of companies from the Canary Islands have achieved the certificate means that “they demonstrate our capacity for continuous improvement, the attitude and effort to get back on track, with the aim of improving the experience for tourists and gaining their satisfaction”, said the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales.

Right now, the valuation of successful destinations “is clearly defined by the relationship between quality and health safety.” In this sense, “we recognise the effort made to improve our tourism products, accommodation and projects that make us a destination with many opportunities for growth, in the present and the immediate future,” said people working for Turismo de Gran Canaria.
