Ibiza's rural hotel Can Lluc receives sustainable tourism label
18 May, 2022The Hotel Rural Can Lluc in Ibiza starts the 2022 season with the Sustainable Tourism label awarded by Rusticae (a hotel booking company), which is committed to sustainability in all areas. This is the third prize awarded to the luxury establishment, after winning the People's Choice Award and the Best International Product Award in 2019 and 2020.
"What is so fashionable nowadays has always been important to us, even long before we got into tourism: respect for the environment, starting with our local surroundings; a love for local, economically sustainable and socially responsible actions and products. We have always believed in sustainability and responsibility as a way of life", expressed the owners of Can Lluc, Lucas Prats and Tina Soriano.
The Sustainable Tourism Label recognises the club's hotels that comply with at least six of the sustainable parameters set out by Rusticae: Involvement of clients in sustainability practices; Responsible cosmetics; Support for Social Causes; Promotion of local commerce; Use of ecological products; Support for biodiversity and habitat conservation; Electric car chargers; Recycling of waste and/or Plastic Free policy; Responsible use of water; Use of renewable energies; and Energy efficiency.
