The architectural secrets of the Sagrada Familia laid bare

The Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña) has participated in the production of an international documentary "La Sagrada Familia: Gaudí's challenge", which was recently shown. This unique religious temple takes first place in all studies of the image and international recognition of Spain as a tourist destination, but also of Europe for international markets.

Gaudí's Sagrada Familia is the emblem of the city of Barcelona, and the installation of the star on the last tower completed last November has appeared in the media all over the world. In China alone, the video posted by Turespaña on social networks had 15 million views in five days.

This majestic, highly stylish building is also a testament to Gaudí's immense genius, his will and his beliefs. The documentary reveals his creative approach, his work and talks about his surroundings, particularly nature. It shows the construction process and how it is the people of Barcelona who now pursue his dream and continue to work on the building site day by day.

The documentary is directed by French filmmaker Marc Jampolsky. It is a co-production with the participation of teams from Japan, NHK, France, Gedeon, and Atomis Media, based in Madrid and Barcelona. ARTE, Curiosity Stream, Ceska Televize, RAI 2, TV3, MOVISTAR and France Télévisions also participated in it.
