The Siam Park waterpark will attract family tourism in Gran Canaria
1 June, 2022The Sur Siam Park theme park project is highly strategic for Gran Canaria, given that it will provide a significant attraction when it comes to offering family and younger people’s Tourism options for those interested in activities linked to nature. The project is expected to raise the spending of tourists visiting the island and improving the destination with an added quality leisure option.
“To achieve this goal, it’s essential that we have important attractions on offer, and we consider a waterpark featuring the calibre of the Siam Park project in the Playa del Inglés area represents an opportunity that we simply cannot miss, given the Type of client it’ll attract, thus improving the economic performance of the sector”, said Carlos Álamo, Tourism Minister for Gran Canaria.
The project is part of a new stimulus by government authorities for leisure attractions in the Canary Islands and plans to include three different plots that include the water park, a new hotel and green areas in the third spot, which will be constructed by municipal government.
