Ifema Madrid wins a prize for its promotion of fairs and sustainable events
8 June, 2022Ifema Madrid, the institute responsible for fairs and events, has been awarded at the XXXVII CETT Alimara 2022 Awards, winning a prize in the Through Sustainability category or its project titled ‘Guides to sustainable participation in fairs and events’. The initiative in question has made information available to visitors, presenters and collaborating companies, in addition to other fair and congress management services around the world with the aim of fostering responsibility around sustainable practices in the MICE sector.
The award recognises the range of activities developed by the organisation, highlighting its dedication to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The awards, organised by the CETT (Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy) alongside B-Travel with collaboration from the World Tourism Organization (WTO) and the Department of Tourism for the Government of Catalonia.
The event was first held in 1983 and seeks to recognise products, services, strategies and actions that bring an innovative vision to marketing, communication, digitalisation, sustainability and research in the tourism, hospitality and gastronomy sectors, highlighting the value of projects from across the country in these sect
