6 Spanish cities among the 10 sunniest in Europe
22 June, 2022Spain shines brightly on the Top Ten list of sunniest cities in Europe. Of the 10, 6 are from Spain. This is according to a study carried out by the German search engine Holidu, which used data from the British weather content portal World Weather Online as a reference.
The ranking is headed by Alicante, which has a monthly average of 349 hours of sunshine, followed by Murcia (3rd place), Malaga (4th place), Valencia (6th place), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (8th place, with 341 hours of sunshine on average per month) and Granada.
The World Weather Online data on which the study is based counts the hours of sunshine per month among the most populated cities on the European continent from 2009 to 2021, indicating somewhat conclusive results.
