355 hotels on the Costa del Sol to boost energy efficiency
22 June, 2022Hotel establishments on the Costa del Sol are taking an important step towards energy efficiency. Aiming to achieve significant advances in this field, they’ve created a business cluster, with 355 hotels already represented, which will help guide applications related to public aid for digitalisation and sustainability.
Participating hotels will receive advice from four technology companies in the cluster about European Union measures related to, amongst other things, promoting sustainable strategies in the face of energy increases. They are also approved to certify the efficiency of tourist accommodation.
According to the Costa del Sol hoteliers’ association, these initiatives are fundamental tools for positioning the sector and helping members compete with other destinations. A similar initiative was launched in November 2021, which is now rounded off with the new cluster.
