Spanish campsites certify the safety of their water attractions

3 August, 2022

The Spanish camping sector is constantly evolving its services. Within its offer, water leisure facilities are becoming increasingly important and have moved well beyond simple diving boards to jump into the pool. For this reason, certifying the quality and safety of facilities has become an essential task.

Taking this into account, the renowned La Marina Resort, a campsite run by the Marina Resorts chain in Elche, has become the first Spanish campsite to be awarded the Safe Fun seal, which verifies the safety of its water facilities and attractions with an official certification. The Eurocamping Resort, located in Sant Antoni de Calonge on the Costa Brava, soon followed suit and obtained the certification.

These two benchmark campsites are expected to be joined by other sites interested in obtaining the Safe Fun seal, an award managed by The Fun Lab company, which provides a guarantee that establishments have safer, better-maintained facilities that comply with legal regulations to prevent accidents.

This gives both guests and travel agents in the public and private tourism sectors greater trust in certified establishments, helping to improve both the reputation of campsites and their attractiveness to visitors.
