Renfe to launch its new mobility platform in September
31 August, 2022The name of Renfe's new integrated mobility platform, the RaaS project, will be made public on 6 September. On that date, a website and a blog will be set up and they will launch the technological tool. This will be developed gradually until the Minimum Viable Functional Product of the new platform is launched in November 2022.
The logistics base that will carry out this implementation is located in Renfe's Digital Competence Centre in Merida. From that moment on, the company will continue to work very actively on the tool to gradually incorporate public and private operators, as well as cities, over the next 5 years, with the intention of covering the whole of Spain, although initially the launch will be carried out in 14 cities.
The new platform is a digital tool that will offer a comprehensive travel solution to all citizens, allowing them to plan journeys from the moment they leave home until they arrive at their destination and to book all the additional services needed during the journey and at the destination.
Raas will be an open, inclusive and integrating platform for the different operators in the new mobility ecosystem. This initiative is in line with the objectives of the company's Strategic Plan for the coming years and with the Mobility Strategy designed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA).
