Tenerife attracts British tourists in partnership with Amadeus
14 September, 2022Turismo de Tenerife has managed to attract more than 150,000 travellers to the island through the launch of a smart promotional campaign run in partnership with Amadeus. The campaign, which ran from July 2021 to April 2022, was based around showing tourists information about the different attractions Tenerife has to offer. These messages were changed to feature different perspectives depending on the profile of the users being targeted, with the media presented using banners and video adverts.
To ensure the campaign’s success, Amadeus' custom machine learning algorithms were used to periodically review segmentation of the target audiences. These algorithms use artificial intelligence that allows businesses to identify trends in mass data that can be used for forecasting.
According to the island’s Director of Tourism, Laura Castro, the campaign has “ promoted and repositioned our tourism offer, allowing us to capture different types of travellers with the help provided by Amadeus. These digital tools allow us to connect interests or preferences to different destinations by specifically targeting the right profiles for those experiences”.
