Which Spanish airport has its own art gallery?

14 September, 2022

Castellón airport has partnered with the Museu d'Art Contemporani 'Vicente Aguilera Cerni' (Macvac) in Vilafamés to hold the sixth exhibition of the 'Sala 30' project, which brings the art gallery back to the passenger terminal after a three year break as a result of the pandemic. The new exhibition is called 'In/Disciplina' and is linked to the role of Valencia as World Design Capital.

Blanca Marín, the general director of Aerocas, has expressed her contentment at the reopening of 'Sala 30', "which is a unique emblem for the airport and a space that adds value to its infrastructure by giving passengers the chance to enjoy art as soon as they disembark or just before boarding”.

Marín has strategically planned the relaunch of the exhibition to coincide with the Valencia World Design Capital 2022 in November. She also highlighted the involvement of Macvac in its role as exhibition curator, which she says, "represents a cultural benchmark in the territory (Valencia) and a guarantee of quality”.
