The Costa del Sol extends its season thanks to the “energy nomads”

The Costa del Sol is preparing to extend the tourist season, with occupancy forecasts of 57% estimated for November and 81.4% in September, receiving the impact of the so-called “energy nomads”. In other words, the European citizens who will avoid the harsh winter which is imminent due to the lack of gas.

For this, Costa del Sol Tourism has launched a hundred promotional actions in the last quarter of the year to strengthen the national market and recover the arrival of international visitors, especially from the United Kingdom and Germany, as reported by its president and president of the Diputación [Council] de Málaga, Francisco Salado.

The campaign also includes participation in fairs and the organization of forums, conferences and specialised marketing promotions. The Costa del Sol has focused on those countries with “a tough winter” or that may have gas supply problems, inviting its citizens to spend the winter season in the destination.
