Turespaña to reveal sustainability objectives at WTM
26 October, 2022The Spanish Tourism Institute, Turespaña, has presented the 'Fairs Plan 2023' which includes participation in 37 international trade fairs in 26 different markets in Europe, Asia and America, of which 2 will be carried out by the Central Services and 35 by the Ministries of Tourism abroad.
This plan, which will be launched in the coming days during the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, “supports the tourism positioning of our country in terms of environmental, economic and social sustainability”, according to the general director of Turespaña , Miguel Sanz.
In the European markets, there are 27 scheduled fairs, 73% of the total, since, given their nature as mature markets, this institution’s strategy has been aimed at recovering the quality demand of international tourism in Spain and at identifying and attract more profitable tourists who contribute to the sustainability of the destination.
