Madrid will host the musical festival Primavera Sound in 2023
26 October, 2022In 2023, Madrid will be the venue for Primavera Sound for the first time, one of the most important festivals in Europe, with a line-up always full of the best artists of electronic music, pop rock and different alternative genres. Depeche Mode have already confirmed for next year’s edition.
The next event of this iconic festival will be held from 8 to 10 June in the Ciudad del Rock in the Madrid town of Arganda del Rey, without this affecting its traditional celebration in Barcelona, which will also take place on the June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. In fact, the last event in the Catalan city brought together 500,000 attendees from all over Europe and the rest of the world.
Primavera Sound 2022 earned 349 million euros, according to the organisation. Looking ahead to 2023, Madrid is counting on music festival tourism. Also IFEMA Madrid, beyond its trade fair activity, is establishing itself as one of the main cultural hubs in Madrid with a large permanent offer of musicals and festivals.
