90% of hotels in Valencia will be open this winter

2 November, 2022

Valencia reports a good autumn-winter season, after two years of inactivity due to the pandemic and with the “shadow” of inflation, the economic recession and the energy crisis and will keep almost 88% of its tourism infrastructure open, in some core places up to 100%, according to a report by the hotel association HOSBEC.

The highest seasonality ratio is recorded in Castellón, while the provinces of Valencia and Alicante will have maximum opening dates for both hotels and campsites and tourist apartments, according to the association which warns that since 2019 the community's tourism sector has not prepared for an autumn-winter season.

We must recall that the sector has taken advantage of the pandemic to “do its homework” as regards reforming facilities and modernising establishments, so it faces the season “with the lowest level of work closures” since HOSBEC has recorded its evolution.
