Active tourism in the Canaries is already marketed online

The first cooperative digital marketing platform in the Canary Islands was launched this year. The action was carried out by the Government of the Canary Islands and the Active Tourism Business Association of the Canary Islands, Activa Canarias, which includes mostly SMEs and freelancers who mostly do not have the capacity to create their own digital stores.

The new platform is already in the international market through different actions, ranging from the projection of advertising spots to dissemination on social networks in various languages (English, French, German and Italian). The message to be disseminated is that active tourism activities in the Canary Islands can be booked at the outset.

The president of Activa Canarias, José Luis Echevarría, explained that “the objective of these actions is to go and look for tourists in their places of origin, whether in the Iberian Peninsula or on the European continent. To do this, we have created a digital cooperative marketing platform where we give tourists the opportunity to buy their experiences before arriving on the islands.
