Cádiz is a good destination for filming because “it works well on camera”
23 November, 2022Cádiz’s City Council has presented the “Cádiz, a wonderful place to shoot” strategy promoted by the Cádiz Film Office, aiming to profit from the fact that the city has become fashionable as the scene of filming, because “it looks good on camera” thanks to its charm and particular light.
The new strategy seeks to “facilitate filming in the city and be an ally of anyone who wants to film in Cádiz”. One of the pillars of this programme is to create more and better companies. “We need an industry which provides local service to those from abroad”, in reference to international productions.
This initiative arises because in Cádiz “we have potential, we have heritage, we have talent... in 100 kilometres around, production companies have almost any available scenario. We have to take advantage of that potential so that Cádiz is a wonderful place to shoot as a whole”, stated the city council.
