Benidorm will host the annual Advantage meeting in spring
30 November, 2022In 2023, the tourist coastal town of Benidorm, on the Valencian Costa Blanca, will host the annual meeting of the Advantage consortium, which brings together 700 independent travel agencies from the UK. This was announced by the Secretary of State for Tourism, a body to which Turespaña is attached.
The celebration of this congress in Benidorm, which will take place in spring, “means that 500 top-level travel agents will meet and get to know the city of Benidorm and the Valencian Community in situ, a destination that seeks to continue projecting itself by publicising its hospitality in what is its main tourist outbound market, the UK.
During the announcement of Benidorm as the venue for the Advantage assembly, Valdés highlighted the importance of the Valencian Community for British tourists and indicated that Spain is expected to “end the year with 15 million British tourists and having recovered the cost of 2019”, the last year before the start of the pandemic, when international travel activity declined.
