50 hotels in Valencia put Big Data at the service of sustainability
14 December, 2022More than 50 Valencian hotels are participating in a technological project based on the data strategy to discover the sustainability of the region’ s hotel industry. The initiative was taken by the hotel association of the Valencian Community, Hosbec, to assess the sustainability level of the sector and act accordingly.
In this case, hotels are using technologies such as Big Data Machine Learning to create a control panel which will allow real-time information on the situation and evolution of the establishments in terms of compliance and the implementation of actions that affect sustainability.
“It is a way to really know the hotel companies’ commitment towards environmental, economic and social sustainability”, said the association. Of the participating hotels, 37 achieved a score which gives them a classification between the letters A, B or C, indicating that they are above the minimum required to achieve certification.
