The best hotel in Spain, say Forbes
21 December, 2022Forbes Spain, the edition of the prestigious American business publication, has published an extensive report on the Santa Catalina Royal Hideaway in its online edition, which it qualifies as the best hotel in Spain. A new media impact which adds to the informative references which guarantee the quality and tourist, social and cultural attractiveness of the municipally owned establishment and managed by the Barceló group in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
In its article, Forbes recalls that “it is the oldest hotel in operation in the Canary Islands... and now also the best in our country”, as considered by the World Travel Awards, in its 29th edition. In addition, it points out that it is a “benchmark in terms of classic elegance and luxury”, and recalls its facilities and historical spaces, as well as “the numerous works of art which it houses”.
This emblematic hotel opened in 1890 is located next to Las Canteras beach, “which occupies 15th place in the ranking of the 25 best in Europe”, or “the emblematic Parque Doramas, a Canarian landscape adorned with palm trees, cascading fountains and extensive vegetation”. Starting from this establishment, you can also discover the historical legacy of Vegueta and its obligatory stops: the Casa de Colón, the Plaza de Santa Ana, the Canary Islands Cathedral or the Canarian Museum.
