Las Palmas will receive 260 cruises by May

21 December, 2022

Autumn marks the start of the high season for cruise ships in the capital of Gran Canaria and anticipates what winter will bring to the cruise ship dock at the Port of Las Palmas. In total, during the 2022-23 season, some 260 tourist boat stopovers will be recorded. Thursdays are a day for regular arrivals, which intensify during the weekends.

The stopovers have been growing and in November there were 50, the busiest month for this maritime traffic. According to the forecast, the pace will be maintained in December with 45 dockings. Already in 2023, the rate of stopovers will remain around thirty a month in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. So, in the remainder of the high season they expect: 37 in January, 33 in February, 39 in March and 29 in April.

AIDA will continue to be common in the capital of Gran Canaria (up to five ships), as well as the ships of P & O Cruises, Marella, Phoenix Reisen Gmbh, Sea Cliud and Fred. Olsen or Mein Schiff of TUI Cruises. Iconic shipping companies will abound such as MSC, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean or Cunard, with its iconic Queen Victoria.
