Important boost to MICE tourism in Galicia
18 January, 2023The Galician city of A Coruña has given a strong boost to its MICE offer during 2022 thanks to the efforts developed by the A Coruña Convention Bureau, which will continue in 2023. In total, in the last year nine congresses were held with over 300 attendees and the list of reserved events of this type extends until 2024, while there are several applications that are pending resolution.
The main assets of A Coruña for MICE tourism are, above all, its infrastructure of spaces, accommodation, gastronomy and other services for holding events. As well as the professionalism of the organising companies, adapted to an ideal city to host events of between 200 and 1,700 attendees. In addition to the proximity of hotels and places of interest in the city to the venues of the meetings.
It should be noted that the A Coruña Convention Bureau has been in business for a year and a half, since it was presented in public in the spring of 2021. During this time, the public-private entity has launched an action plan with strategic alliances to position the city as an ideal asset for professional tourism.
