Futurismo: the first event with a sustainability certificate
22 February, 2023The X National Forum for Entrepreneurs and Tourism Professionals in Spain, Futurismo 2023, is one step away from becoming the first 100% sustainable national tourism event and, in turn, the first and only sustainable event in the Canaries, to obtain the Certification ISO 20121, through which the organisation becomes a pioneer in implementing environmental standards of this type in international forums.
These conferences, which this year celebrate a decade since their first celebration, have carried out all their activities with environmental awareness and applying a sustainable action plan for several editions. For this reason, obtaining the certification, as well as operating as a prestigious tool for the organisation, will allow it to continue progressing, reducing its impact and improving its environmental behaviour in the medium and long term.
The Arona Pyramid (Mare Nostrum Resort), in Playa de las Américas, will open its doors on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 April 2023 to receive the tenth edition of this event, Futurismo 2023: “The strength of being unique.” This tourism forum is gradually moving towards innovation and sustainability, therefore, the implementation of ISO 20121 is one more step to be able to take environmental awareness to its maximum reach.
