El Tren de los Molinos will return to Castilla
22 March, 2023Renfe, in collaboration with the Campo de Criptana City Council, will launch a thematic tourism train on 29 April which, called Tren de los Molinos, will travel between Madrid and the Castilian town. The train’s aim is to promote the town of La Mancha as well as the rail services provided by Renfe.
The trips of the Ruta de los Molinos train begin at the Chamartín Clara Campoamor station in Madrid, from where the trains depart also stopping at Atocha Cercanías, to Campo de Criptana.
As well as travelling by train, which will be animated by a group of actors, the trip includes a guided visit to the most characteristic monuments of the town and its surroundings, such as the Pozo de Nieve, a construction of popular architecture dedicated to storing and conserving ice for distribution and sale which is located next to the shrine of Cristo de Villajos, the town’s patron saint.
